A broker's desktop experience and its mobile app are two different products — and app quality varies dramatically. We rate mobile apps on reliability, order completeness, and real-world usability, not just the screenshot in the App Store.

Which brokers have the best mobile trading apps?
App quality is measured by user ratings, feature completeness, and performance under load — not just visual design. We track app store ratings over time (trend matters as much as current score), which order types are available on mobile vs desktop, and whether the app remains reliable during market volatility when server load peaks.
Can I execute all order types from a mobile app?
This varies by broker. Most apps support market and limit orders. Stop-loss, trailing stop, and OCO (one cancels other) orders are available on some mobile apps but not all — and a few brokers still require desktop for advanced order types. If you trade actively from your phone, this is a meaningful capability gap to check.
Does app quality affect how I should compare brokers?
If you trade primarily from a phone, yes — significantly. A broker with slightly higher fees but a more reliable, full-featured app may cost you less in practice than one with lower fees but a crash-prone mobile experience during market open. We weight app reliability alongside fee criteria rather than treating it as a secondary factor.
